Aero-Dienst GmbH signs “Maintenance Services Agreement” with Turbine Engine Specialists (TES) Inc. to cooperate on aircraft engine repairs and AOG support in Europe
Aero-Dienst GmbH signs “Maintenance Services Agreement” with Turbine Engine Specialists (TES) Inc. from l. to r.: Paul Goffredi (Vice President and General Manager Operations, TES), Gerard Lee (Sales Manager EMEA, TES), Andrea Weyrich (Manager Maintenance Engine Shop, Aero-Dienst), Stefan O’Hare (Chief Operating Officer, TES), Jason Lehew (Parts Distribution Program Manager, TES), Jeff Turner (Vice President Sales & Service, TES)

Nuremberg, August 27, 2024 (sr): Nuremberg full-service provider for business aviation and air ambulance services Aero-Dienst GmbH signed a framework agreement with Dallas, Texas-based MRO provider TES to collaborate on repair services for engines and auxiliary power units (APUs) from Honeywell.

This arrangement is intended to provide even more flexible and smoother service for business jets based in Europe that are equipped with TFE731-series and HTF7000-series engines, as well as APUs from the GTCP36-100/150 and RE100/220 series.

Troubleshooting requests at Aero-Dienst and TES are optimally channeled to whichever of the two authorized Honeywell Channel Partners that can promptly provide support and holds the appropriate certification for the service. This will continue to evolve as TES develops its presence within the EMEA market.

This means that Aero-Dienst takes on the AOG support requests for Europe that are received by TES in the USA and completes the troubleshooting and necessary service work with its highly specialized engine team. The same goes for engine service requests for regularly planned maintenance and repairs on jets based in Europe (Learjets, Falcon jets, Citations, etc.): Aero-Dienst will take on ongoing Major Periodic Inspections (MPIs) that are not covered under the MSP maintenance program, and TES Inc. will handle MSP-covered MPIs, as well as all larger overhauls and repairs on the APUs as certifications and capabilities allow.

This "Maintenance Services Agreement” is the result of an excellent and long-term collaboration between the two organizations – Aero-Dienst in Europe and TES in the USA. Aero-Dienst has already conducted the majority of the Post-Loan Inspections (PLIs) on 36-100 & 36-150 Loaner APUs from TES since 2021 in support of assets stored and located in support of EMEA customers from the TES owned Honeywell APU Rental Bank. “We greatly appreciate the cooperation with TES since we together are now even better positioned to service engines and APUs for aircraft operators in Europe,” says Andrea Weyrich, Manager Maintenance Engine Shop at Aero-Dienst.

"At TES, we value our longstanding partnership with Aero-Dienst,” says Stefan O’Hare, Chief Operating Officer at TES. “Their technical expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional customer solutions align perfectly with our own values. We have immense respect for the Aero-Dienst brand and the trust they've earned across the EMEA market."

Engine service has been one of Aero-Dienst’s core competencies for over 55 years. Appreciated by customers and manufacturers alike, the Nuremberg-based full-service provider enjoys an outstanding reputation for maintenance of engines and auxiliary power units (APUs). This is reflected in its recognition as a Honeywell Major Mobile Channel Partner and Authorized Maintenance Provider for HTF7000 engine nacelles, as a GE Authorized Service Center, a Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Center, and a Pratt & Whitney Designated Maintenance Facility.

For over 45 years Learjet, Hawker, and Falcon operators have entrusted their TFE731 engines to Aero-Dienst for maintenance and repair. The engine team’s expertise has been demonstrated by more than 300 MPIs performed over the last 18 years, because only a highly trained and experienced engine team can sustain such a high quality standard for decades.

In addition to its headquarters in Nuremberg, Aero-Dienst also operates stations in Austria (Vienna and Klagenfurt) and a maintenance station near Munich in Oberpfaffenhofen that was set up three years ago. Its component shop in Landsberg am Lech allows Aero-Dienst to provide fast and local repairs for maintenance operators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
